Abstinent Mormon farmers grow barley for beer

Mormons abstain from alcohol, but farmers who belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are some of the biggest barley growers in Idaho _ and most of their barley goes to beer. The Mormon farmers who grow barley acknowledge an ambiguity that doesn't exist for those of other faiths. Idaho Grain Producers Association President Scott Brown is a Mormon. He says he's "often wondered about the correctness of doing it."
